Your first class
Come curious.
Leave the pressure behind.
You don’t need a dancer’s wardrobe or a perfect pointed toe. Here’s how to make your first Friday feel a little more familiar.

Before you arrive
Start with a hello.
Tell us who’s dancing.
A parent or guardian can use the inquiry form to share their young dancer’s age range and ask about a suitable Friday class.
Get your Friday details.
Annemarie will reply with current times, the Nampa venue address, and availability. Your class is confirmed by email, not by the form alone.
Keep your first visit simple.
Wear clothing you can move in, bring water, and ask about footwear before buying anything. Leave time to settle in before class.
Starting from the beginning
You’re not expected to know the steps.
Ballet has its own vocabulary. It’s okay if it’s all new. You’ll be beginning with the ideas behind the movement, rather than trying to look like a professional dancer.
Get comfortable
Arrive with questions. Let Annemarie know you’re new and ask for any guidance you need before joining in.
Explore the basics
Think simple positions, balance, posture, and movement with music. Learning takes repetition, not perfection.
Find your rhythm
Use your first visit to see how ballet feels. Your free try-out class is a chance to begin before choosing your next step.
A note for families
A little reassurance goes a long way.
Tell your young dancer that trying something new is the goal — not getting every movement right. Contact Annemarie about age suitability, class placement, and any practical questions before your visit.
Please use a parent or guardian’s contact details when making an inquiry. The form does not need a child’s full name, date of birth, or personal medical information.
Every dancer starts somewhere
